Chiu Rock, age 12 started to play accoustic guitar. Age 16 Started to play Electric guitar and holede bands with high school friends.In colleage, joined the ROCK N Roll music club and be host of many shows , also joined many performs of the stage.
After graduated from colleage, I went into science park as an engineer.Since I took charge of Customer – tech service. Therefore, I got lot of opportunities to go to overseas business trip (to Europe、South America…). And to know many friends from different country.That makes me changed a lot of my points of view against life. And it occured to me that , maybe I should leave engineering career , and try to find my passion via ROCK N Roll music.
2012 (I was still an engineer)，I saw the documantary movie of well-known
Shredding guitar player,Jason Becker. The documantary video which named 【Not dead yet】.
To know that , Jason though faced such big unfortunate desease , ALS. But he
still keeps living in a passion , and still keeps creating songs
Since I was young(20), I did admire the skill and well-melody-creating ability
of Jason Becker. After 20 years, to know, he is still writing songs . But he is
trapped in a unable to move body. it’s too big impact to me.
It makes me to ask myself “Why didn’t I play guitar right now? “
Since I am so so much like guitar and ROCK N Roll music.
In front of my guitar hero , Jason Becker. If ALS can’t defeat him. Then what excuses I have , could answer the question :
Why didn’t I play guitar now?
Then, I start to practice guitar again.At that time, I got 2 kids, 1-years old and 3 years old. After they went to bed, I had about 30mins each day to practice guitar. I tried to pickup my playing ability which had been neglected for also ten years.
Day by day, little by little, I found it again , the feeling of the passion of playing
guitar. It’s so wonderful. Just like that, find the power of life again.
Then , I decided to quite my engineering job, and try to be a full time guitar
teacher.
Luckly , after I make some youtube videos(guitar lesson vides), I got some fans
Who support my lecture and became my students , learn guitar with me for
long time.
Now, I am a full time guitar teacher, to enjoy the life of playing guitar,teaching
Guitar.Sometimes we have performs on the stage. That’s really dreams come
true.I am too lucky. All thanks for Jason Becker.
Furthur more, this year, Shijie guitar gave me an opportunity to become the co-artist. It’s really my honor to have such privilege. Too lucky, another dream comes true.
